The first Obibiezenna Prize cycle opens this October

The Obibiezenna Prize for Literature will begin accepting submissions on October 10, 2026. Writers from across Africa and the African diaspora are invited to submit work for consideration in two categories: Fiction and Poetry.

The submission window closes on November 05. The shortlist will be announced on November 30, and the winners on December 12.

The 2027 jury comprises Ikenna Okeh, Chinkemkasimma Cassidy Chukwuma, and Abraham Aondoana.
